The Art of Living: HAPPINESS PROGRAM

Jai Gurudev: Sri Sri πŸ™πŸ™

I am writing this post to share my experience and to express my profound gratitude for the incredible experience I had during the Happiness Program from 6th October to 8th October at the Art of Living International Center in Bangalore.

I embarked on the Happiness Program, a life-altering expedition of introspection led by the revered Teacher Swami Vishwaroop, Dr. Ananthu Sunil, Shreya Arora, and other facilitators. Yoga, pranayama, and the potent Sudarshan Kriya techniques that we learned were nothing short of amazing. This course has improved the quality of my life in many ways, including my health and happiness.

Foundations of Inner Strength: Mastering Resilience, Equanimity, and Adaptability:

The following are some of the things I learnt throughout the course of these three days that will help me reach my goals in life.

  1. Resilience: Embrace challenges with inner strength and bounce back stronger.
  2. Equanimity: Maintain a calm and balanced mind in the face of adversity.
  3. Adaptability: Learn to adjust and thrive amidst changing circumstances.

The teachings on how to lead a joyous life free from anxiety, anger, fear, and depression was a revelation. The concept of “Disha Pranam,” surrendering all problems, was a new and enlightening perspective that I have since embraced with open arms. οΏΌ

It is always great to get acquainted with other ideas and experiences that help us become more balanced, self-sufficient, and harmonious. It’s great that you find time for this. I hope that the theses you voiced were supported by some kind of practice during these three days in order to feel it more deeply.
    Have a good day!

    1. Yeah ! You are right. I have learned “Sudarshan Kriya” from head quarters from the senior teacher, along with guided meditations by the head of the institution, Sri Sri Ravishankar Ji.
Sudarshan Kriya is a powerful rhythmic breathing technique that is an integral part of the Art of Living programs founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. It combines specific breathing patterns with meditation and gentle yoga to bring about a state of deep relaxation and mental clarity.
Studies have been conducted to explore the physiological effects of Sudarshan Kriya. Research suggests that it can positively impact various bodily functions, including heart rate variability, blood pressure, and stress hormone levels.
This is one kind of Pranayama. Combination of other breathing exercises together needs about 45 minutes of time.
I am following and practicing daily, as was taught.
Thank you so much, Olga, for your comments and replies. I am very happy to see your lines.
      Have a blissful Sunday evening.
      Best wishes and regards. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ€

      1. I am always fascinated by bodywork techniques that know exactly the expected effect of their use. When you feel that it works, you feel delighted.
I can’t say that I start physical exercises with great enthusiasm, but when I feel that they work, I am ready to follow them constantly.
Glad you went through this training.

I wish you new unexpected discoveries! πŸ‘‹πŸ™‹πŸ’ͺ

        1. I wish you new, unexpected discoveries! πŸ‘‹πŸ™‹πŸ’ͺ
          Expecting some new things.
Opting for a vegetarian diet is a powerful form of renunciation. It is a conscious decision to abstain from consuming animal flesh, recognizing the interconnectedness of all living beings. This choice is a testament to my commitment to non-violence and compassion toward every form of life.
Choosing to abstain from alcohol is another facet of my journey towards renunciation. It’s a conscious decision to distance myself from a substance that can potentially cloud the mind and hinder spiritual growth. By avoiding alcohol, I aim to maintain mental clarity and emotional balance.

Abstaining from alcohol also serves as a form of discipline. It allows me to cultivate self-control and resist the lure of instant gratification. This discipline carries over into other aspects of my life, reinforcing my commitment to simplicity and non-excess.

Moreover, avoiding alcohol promotes physical health. It helps to protect vital organs, supports the immune system, and fosters overall well-being. This choice is a proactive step towards a lifestyle that prioritizes longevity and vitality.
          Feeling very good.
          Best wishes Olga.
          Arun.

          1. Great, Arun. πŸ‘
It’s easier for me when it comes to alcohol – I’ve never used it. But there are other things that interfere – sweet, salty, sauces, etc.
In general, there is still something to work on.

            Good luck!

            1. Thank you so much for your feedback. I am feeling good now with new habits. Renunciation is going on. I am currently in the midst of a renunciation phase. Letting go of attachments and desires, and embracing a simpler, more intentional way of living. It’s a personal journey towards a deeper understanding of self and spirituality.
              Best wishes to you.
              Regards.
